Kupwara: A meeting on Drug de addiction was held on Monday at Environment Hall Handwara.
The meeting was organized as part of series of activities being conducted by the District Administration from 2 March to 21st March on the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat –Crusade against Narco Terrorism’, in the district.
The meeting was attended by PRI members, teachers and parents from block Rajwar, Handwara and other adjoining blocks.
Resource persons from Health, Education, Social welfare and other departments participated in the meeting and spoke on different issues associated with substance use and highlighted importance of community level intervention involving PRIs, parents, teachers and other related people for effective redressal of the issue.
The second phase of the programme will be held tomorrow at the same venue as per schedule for participants of block Ramhall, Tarthpora, Redi Chokibal, Meelyal and Kralpora.
