Srinagar: Police on Sunday claimed to have unearthed an arms dump in north Kashmir’s sub district of Handwara.
Police in a statement said that on March 11, 2023, a search was conducted by Handwara Police in Shalnar Hangnikoot during which an old dump of arms and ammunition was unearthed.
One AK-47 rifle with 2 magazines, 75 rounds, 10 grenades, 26 UBGL grenades, 8 UBGL boosters, 2 Flame throwers, 5 Rocket shells and 3 rocket boosters were recovered from the hideout, police said.
