IUST signs MoU with Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine

Awantipora : The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicines (CCRUM) on the sidelines of a National Conference on ‘Exploring the role of Regimenal therapies in Public Health & Wellness organized by CCRUM.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, the ceremony was attended by Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo (Vice Chancellor, IUST), Prof. Asim Ali Khan (Director General, CCRUM), Prof. AfsharAlam (Vice Chancellor, JamiaHamdard University), Prof. Nilofar Khan (Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir), Prof. QayyumHussain (Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Kashmir), Prof. Akbar Masood (Vice Chancellor, BSGS University), Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar (Secretary, Administrative Reforms, Inspection and Training Department, Govt. of J&K), and Dr.Seema Akbar (Assistant Director, Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine), Prof. Manzoor A Malik (Dean Academics IUST), Prof. NaseerIqbal (Registrar IUST) and other university officials.
The MoU envisages collaboration for the promotion of Unani Medicine and the propagation of research outcomes through monographs, articles, journals, and workshops for the dissemination of information to the professionals and public. The cooperation will strengthen the competencies of Ayush professionals in education, technology, research, innovation, and other fields necessary for the promotion of Ayush and Unani Medicine in particular, at the national as well as international levels.
