Srinagar : On the eve of International Women’s Day, police on Wednesday organised series of events to celebrate the Women’s Day in Budgam and Kulgam districts.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the event was organised at Recreation Hall DPL Budgam in which female officers of the police including Incharge of the Women’s Cell Budgam and other officials participated. The program started with a lecture on Stress Management by Incharge of the Drug de-addiction Centre Budgam Insha Hassan. On this occasion, she highlighted the various adaptive stress management techniques. Moreover, Dr Razia Medical Officer DPL Budgam threw light on special physiological issues among the women.
Similarly in Kulgam also, International Women’s Day was celebrated at Police Station Kulgam. SHO PS Kulgam accompanied by IC Women’s desk Kulgam alongwith other police officers and public also participated in the event. On the occasion, SHO Kulgam congratulated women officers and officials working in J&K Police for breaking the stereotypes and joining elite force for public service. SHO Kulgam said that women are increasingly choosing every field which is appreciable for the reason that choices and decisions are made by themselves. He applauded role played by women officers/officials of J&K Police. Furthermore, he spoke about women empowerment and guided the audience about various aspects of empowerment through participative functioning of society and institutions.
While concluding the event, a pledge was also taken to enhance and safeguard women’s empowerment in every aspect.
