DC Ang reviews functioning of KPDCL & Jal Shakti Deptts

Anantnag : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom on Wednesday reviewed the functioning of KPDCL and Jal Shakti departments at DC Office Complex, here.
Reviewing the progress of works under execution, the DC directed the Superintending Engineers from both departments to ensure 100% utilisation of releases and book expenditure well before the closure of financial year so that there are zero fund lapses and benefits of schemes reach people.
He directed SE KPDCL to ensure that installation of smart meters continues in mission mode to ensure quality and reliable power supply and reduction of AT&C losses.
Dr Basharat said that with completion of under execution works in Jal Shakti, water supply will improve across the district. He said the augmentation works need to be completed on priority for the convenience of the general public.
SE KPDCL assured the chair that most of their works have been completed physically and financially and augmentation/ creation works still under execution will be completed in a week’s time.
Officials from Jal Shakti and Irrigation also presented their progress and assured the chair that all pending works will be completed before 20th of March.
Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti department assured that more than 50 new and augmentation schemes would be completed in the month of March adding more than 5k FHTCs.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD Planning, SE KPDCL, Executive Engineers of KPDCL and Jal Shakti, AEEs among others.
