‘Conserve Energy Today to make Brighter Tomorrow’, Poster Making Competition held in GDC Ramgarh

Samba: G20 Cell Government Degree College Ramgarh, in Collaboration with Eco Club and Department of EVS, organized a Poster making on the theme ‘Conserve Energy on Saturday to make Brighter Tomorrow’. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College.
The objective of the event was to spread awareness about the importance of energy and the need of conserving energy by using less energy.
Many Students of the College participated in the event with great zeal. Through Posters Students depicted various good habits to save electricity and fuel. Participants presented through posters information about different strategies and multiple forms with their innovative ideas that can be taken up to save energy more efficiently.
Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur said that the Energy on the earth is not unlimited supply. Every person can save energy by eliminating the unnecessary use of fans, lights, heaters or other electrical instruments used in their life. It is the easiest and most effective way to save extra energy usage which can play a major role in the National Energy Conservation Campaign. Further, she added that People should be aware that more light bulbs in the workplace produce various problems like tension, headache, blood pressure and fatigue and decrease the work efficiency of workers.
The whole event was organized by Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Convener G20 Cell, Prof. Risha Kumari, Deptt of Punjabi & Dr. Anjali Bala, Deptt of Environment Science. The faculty members Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Dr. Rahul Kundal were also present on the occasion.
