Srinagar : SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure on Thursday visited forward areas of Uri Sector and reviewed security of border outposts Dachi, Madiyan & Salamabad. During his visit, he also took stock of present infrastructure of these Border Out Posts (BOPs).
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that to review border grid, the SSP Baramulla held the security meeting with Army counterparts to strengthen the anti-infiltration grid and crackdown on arms/narcotic smuggling in forward areas of Uri sector. On this occasion, the SSP was briefed about the security measures put in place by the officers present in the meeting.
While interacting with the jawans posted in these BOPs, he emphasized upon them to put best possible efforts & ensure dedication towards the duties with focus on anti-infiltration and smuggling of arms & narcotics in their areas of responsibilities.
Meanwhile, the SSP Baramulla also held interaction with the locals of these areas and heard their grievances. On the occasion, participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
SSP Baramulla while referring to the criminal activities in the area, stressed upon the officers/general public to brace up with a missionary spirit to fight against drug abuse and eradicate other social evils from the society.
