RPHQ B’la organises 10-days Skiing course for children

Srinagar : Ten days Skiing course for children organised by Range Police Headquarters Baramulla and participated by30 children including wards of slain police personnel concluded here on Wednesday at Gulmarg Baramulla.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the DIG NKR Baramulla Vivek Gupta was chief guest at the event. The event was witnessed by galaxy of officers from Police and Civil administration of District Baramulla. The aim of the event was to boost the hidden potential and to provide platform for youth to showcase their talent and provide them to demonstrate their abilities at regional and national level. Speaking on the occasion the DIG NKR Baramulla praised the contestants for their exemplary skills and talent and reiterated that J&K Police has been conducting such programmes from time to time under Civic Action Programme, the Skiing course was organized under the aegis of the same endeavour in which the students of Police Public School Baramulla and wards of Police Martyrs participated.
The chairing officer on this occasion lauded the efforts of civil administration for making the event successful. DIG NKR Baramulla further conversed that aim of organizing such events is to inculcate the sportsmanship spirit, positive values in the youth and attempts to keep them away from drug abuse and other social evils. The said event culminated here on Wednesday and the participants exhibited good demonstration and showcased high-quality performance during the whole event. Police also said that it has been organizing such programmes/events from time to time and is committed to do so in near future also.
Later on, the DIG NKR Baramulla distributed appreciation certificates and mementoes among the winner participants, also participation certificates/ medals were distributed among all the participants. The participating students applauded the efforts made by J&K Police for organizing such mesmerizing initiative and thanked J&K police for providing them such platforms. The DIG NKR at the conclusion of the event presented vote of thanks to all.
