DDC Poonch listens to public Issues at Panchayat Banwat Dokri during Block Diwas

DM directs concerned Deptts to ensure holistic provisioning of amenities in rural areas at par with urban areas

Poonch : District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet on Wednesday presided over the function of Block Diwas at panchayat Banwat Dokri, Block Poonch and listened to public issues.
The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of various developmental and important issues and demands.
During the programme, PRI members sought implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission and power supply schemes with top priority along with Medicare facilities. Other issues like electric poles for Banwat Dokri, upgrade PHE to new type primary health centre in Banwat Dokri, clear material payment under MGNREGA, play ground for Banwat Dokri, Community Sanitary Complex (CSC) for Shamshaanghat and Kabristan in Degwar Maldyana, black-topping for Banwat – Gundi road, upgradation of Nabna road and various other issues related to their panchayat were discussed in detail.
All the grievances and issues of the public were listened by the Deputy Commissioner patiently and assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all panchayats is ensured in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer PDD to check and take strict action against those who are stealing electricity. He also appealed to the public to deposit the electric bills in time.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the public and PRI members to keep their Panchayat neat and clean.
The DC directed the concerned officers for earlier realse of material payment under MGNREGA.
During the programme the Deputy Commissioner distributed sports kits among the youth to promote sports related spirit in panchayat.
A plantation drive by Social Forestry was also held during block diwas under JK Green drive to keep the environment fresh, pollution free and reduce carbon footprint and generate awareness for tree plantation and forest conservation.
DDC member, Chowdhary Abdul Ghani, Sarpanch, panch and huge numbers of people were present in Block Diwas.
PO ICDS, Khalid Hussain Wafa, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mushim Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti, Chief Medical Officer, Xen, REW, Hamid Iqbal, Xen PDD, Irshad Hussain, Xen PHE, Raiz Ahmed, BDO Poonch, Parviaz Shah beaides other concerned officers were present during Block Diwas.
