Srinagar : Police on Tuesday claimed to have solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession in north Kashmir’s district Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said PS Palhallan received a complaint from one person namely Mohd Shafi Pandith S/o of Ali Mohd Pandith R/o Hamrey Pattan who alleged therein that during intervening night of 27th & 28th February-2023, some unknown burglars broke the lock of his storeroom of his home and stole electric transformer, battery and submersible water pump.
Stating further that it has accordingly registered a case vide FIR No. 64/2023 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources, one suspect identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Mohd Dar R/o Chankhan Sopore was called for questioning and after sustained questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime, Stating therein further that on the disclosure of the said accused stolen property was also recovered from his possession and vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized. In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that people on this occasion lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the case within the shortest possible time.
