Bandiporians can track JJM activities on Smartphone, admin to develop App

Bandipora : The District Administration Bandipora is developing a mobile application to help people to know the details of the scheme, source of the tapped water at his home besides other activities taking place in the district under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad informed about this initiative during a meeting called to review the execution of works under Jal Jeevan Mission.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer PHE Sopore/Bandipora, AEE Sumbal, Staff of DPMU JJM Bandipora, Coordinator IEC JJM and ISA partners.
He said the people must know about the details of every JJM scheme and the source of water they are getting besides putting all JJM works in public domain to ensure transparency.
He said that to serve the purpose of administration is working on developing a mobile application that will help the citizens to know about the progress of the execution of works under the mission.
JDP, who is the Chief Planning Officer of the district, asked the officers to ensure geo-tagging of all the works being executed in the district besides updating about physical and financial progress and total allocation.
He directed the Implementation Support Agency (ISA) to expedite the process of baseline survey to know the status of quality, quantity of drinking water being provided to every household.
He said the ultimate aim of JJM mission is that ‘No one should be left Behind’. He assured the people that all the works will be completed on time that shall ensure that people get pure and safe drinking water.
The meeting laid thrust on the measures to be taken to ensure protection of water bodies besides sensitizing people about the conservation of these water sources and ensuring proper sanitation.
It was given out that the administration is planning a massive Wular volunteer youth cleaner drive primarily under Mission Youth while support of ISAs and JJM partners will boost the drive.
He asked the ISA partners to coordinate with the PHE and JJM departments as they are a bond between the public and contravening agencies.
He called for sensitization of Pani Samitis in every panchayat besides laying stress on linking of FHTCs with Aadhar.
Earlier, the meeting informed about ongoing projects and assured that all works will be completed well in time.
