Anantnag: A joint visit of State Nodal Agency (SNA) with Host Institute (JKHPMC) and Mentor Institute (IUST) was held to JKHPMC’s CIC Achabal, Anantnag, for verifying the actual physical progress (completion) of the project including installation, commissioning and trial run of the incubation facility for submitting the Utilization Certificate (UC) to the Ministry vis-à-vis allocation of funds.
It is worth here to mention that the JKHPMC has established Common Incubation Center (CIC) in Achabal, Anantnag for Fish under PM-FME Scheme of MoFPI, GoI to offer short- and long-term hands-on training (skill development) to rural youth, Women Self Help Groups (SHGs), Producers, Students, new and experienced entrepreneurs & other stakeholders.
The Incubation Center has installed various processing lines viz: Fish Pre-processing line, Fish mince-based product processing line, RTE fish products in cans/pouches, production of feed from fish processing waste and a testing laboratory.
On the occasion, MD, JKHPMC, Imam Din briefed the visiting team headed by Farooq Ahmad Dar, (Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, GoJ&K, SNO, PM-FME (ODOP)) about the process flow of the Processing lines and the Accessories installed by JKHPMC for fish and fish-based value-added products at CIC in compliance with the FSSAI nor
The SNA expressed satisfaction over the facility created and assured that more and more farmers/SHGs/FPOs would be benefited and encouraged for the optimum utilization of the facility.
Besides, District officers of the Fisheries Department, District Nodal Officer (ODOP), JKHPMC officials/Young Professionals and Engineering Consultants were also present.
After the culmination of visits to MD, JKHPMC and Director Fisheries, J&K jointly attended the FPO Training Programme organized by Directorate of Fisheries in collaboration with NABARD at Achabal, Anantnag.
