Sports may support your health-related issues and keep your fitness at its best. When we are not physically fit, it means we have to be ready for several health-related problems. like stress, excessive belly fat, unnecessary cholesterol, the risk of heart-related diseases, the weakness of general body parts, fatigue, insomnia, and many more health-related issues. If you ask me, “What is exercise?” My answer is that every body movement is an exercise. So then, what is the need for engaging in other activities? Being engaged in different activities may involve our whole body, which feels quite delightful and uplifting. There are hundreds of sports activities being played around the world, and the same activities are being played in the country as well. In our country, there are a few games that are very popular among the people, and most of them are likely to take part in them. Cricket is one of the prominent sports in India. It’s very pleasing that India has the richest cricket board in the world. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has a market capitalization of Rs 18,000 crore. The BCCI held the IPL (Indian Premier League) across the world, with top-class cricket players taking part in the mega event. There are about ten teams that participate in the Mega League every year. I mentioned in an article about the net worth of the BCCI that sports are now becoming a profession. You can get name recognition, fame, and whatever else you want in sports. India has great records in different sports at the international level, and there are great and renowned sports personalities the country has produced. such as Kapil Dev, Sunil Gawaskar, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and others from the cricket world; Sania Mirza, Mahesh Bhupathi, and others from badminton; Bhutia (football), and many more who have represented India at an international level and won prestigious awards for the country. Every country has a separate sports budget for the fiscal year, and every country promotes sports activities at the district, state, and country levels; only the lucky ones get to the international level. Promoting sports activities sends a clear and fair message to the people of the country to participate, stay healthy, and always smile, regardless of the circumstances. It is very impressive that the government administration is interested in sports. Every August 29th, we celebrate Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. On this day, schools, colleges, and universities are packed with students and teachers who celebrate by participating in various sports activities and sending a message to the entire country about the value of sports. The government’s administration is heavily focused on sports infrastructure and promoting it among the nation’s youth. Sports stadiums constructed at every panchayat level and laced with adequate infrastructure, like levelling off the ground and fencing the stadium, etc., are quite an appreciable step and need to be considered as part of the development of the sports sector. Every year, a large number of athletes from various sports are chosen at the national and international levels. In Kashmir, a number of leagues are being held by the sports departments and other agencies; this has helped produce great sports personalities in J&K.
The sports sector has great potential to generate employment in the country and plays an important role in uplifting the country’s economy by various means. Gulmarg is one of the renowned, luscious, mesmerizing, and winsome tourist destinations in the Kashmir valley. This very place has great potential for the tourists who come from across the world here to participate in skiing, sports, adventures, mountaineering, etc. Recently, in Khelo, India, one of the mega sports events came to an end with great success and players from across the world participating in the mega event.
Benefits of sports activities: Sports activities are quite interesting, and everyone wants to participate in and play them. Sports activities keep us healthy and happy, strengthen our body parts, and keep us happy and stress-free. Sports activities are the best alternative against drug addiction among the youth of the country, as sports activities reduce the taking of drugs, which has some scientific logic. Sports activities are the best healthy package for your loved ones and kith and kin, as they have several health benefits and keep your children away from drug addiction and other wayward activities. Sports activities have a vast field, and today most of the sportsmen are earning their livelihoods by doing coaching, so they can open gym centres and boxing centres and have many more opportunities. One has a great opportunity to promote sports activities by organising cricket tournaments, football tournaments, and volleyball tournaments in their areas after getting proper permission from the concerned authorities. The sports sector has great potential to generate employment in the country and plays an important role in uplifting the country’s economy by various means.
