Kathua: Jammu and Kashmir Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan has invited young persons, between the 18 to 29 year age as on 1st April 2023, for engagement as national youth volunteers on honorarium basis in Kathua district under National Youth Corps scheme.
These young people will be deployed to channelize their energies and capabilities towards nation building by organizing them into volunteer groups. They will be entrusted with the task of organizing campaigns/awareness programmes about health, literacy, sanitation and other social issues and may also be called upon to assist the administration during emergency or implementation of various programmes.
Under the scheme, candidates possessing a 10th pass certificate will be eligible to apply. However no regular student can apply for NYC volunteership. The deployed volunteers will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 5000 per month. “This is neither a paid employment nor confers any legal right to claim employment with the government” NYK said.
