Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime in Budgam district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar here police said that PS Chadoora received a written complaint from Muhammad Iqbal Parra S/O Gulam Nabi Parra R/O Surasyar Chadoora who alleged therein that during intervening night of 17th and 18th February this year some unknown burglar/s barged into his shop and took away Laptop and few Cell Phones.
Stating further that a case vide FIR No.18/2023 under relevant sections of law has been at PS Chadoora and investigation has been also initiated, Police
In it’s statement said that during the course of investigation, after strenuous efforts, the investigating team zeroed in on one suspect identified as Ashiq Ahmad Mir S/O Gulam Muhammad R/O Surasyar Chadoora who was accordingly called for questioning. Police in it’s statement further said that during questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime and subsequently the stolen property including 1 Laptop & 3 cell Phones were also recovered on his disclosure.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that further investigation is going on and more recoveries are expected.
