DC inaugurates 2-day Multimedia Exhibition on ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, G-20 Presidency at Ramban

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, on Wednesday inaugurated a 2-day Multimedia Exhibition on ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’, G-20 Presidency, Water Conservation programme and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, at MaitraRamban.
The event is a part of various outreach activities being organized by CBC in J&K and Ladakh.
Among others, Joint Director CBC, J&K and LadakhGhulam Abbas, FPO, CBC Udhampur, KhursheedYousuf, GM DIC, RavinderAnand, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, CEO, CAHO, CAO, CAHO, CBC, Doda Circle, VikramUppal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
After inaugurating the programme, the Deputy Commissioner said that the two-day long exhibition will showcase the freedom struggle of India through a series of photo exhibitions, besides highlighting various Centrally Sponsored Schemes through stalls setup by the various departments.
Appreciating the efforts made by the CBC Doda in organizing the multimedia exhibition, the Deputy Commissioner urged people, especially youth to visit dedicated corners for “Azadi Quest” and ‘Swaraj’ and click photos of picture portraying stories of unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle for an insight into the freedom struggle of India.
Meanwhile, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma delivered an informative and effective lecture dedicated to the G-20 Presidency and said that it’s a matter of pride for the Indians which highlights the story of development of India in all aspects.
Welcoming the guest Joint Director CBC J&K, Ladakh, Ghulam Abbas said that the onus to avail benefits of the Government schemes lies with the citizens. He said that joint efforts of the policy makers, communicators, citizens as well as those responsible for implementation at the ground level is needed to ensure the welfare Schemes serve the intended purpose.
Apart from this Expert lectures on ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, was delivered by District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta, whereas Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti department, Sudhir Sharma sensitized the participants about Water Conservation programme and JalJeevan Mission and District Information System Manager, Manjeet Singh presented a presentation on Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Earlier, Field Publicity Officer CBC Udhampur, KhursheedYousuf gave a brief description and detailed information regarding CBC Exhibition and other coordinating departments viz. Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal/sheep Husbandry, Social Welfare, ICDS, ISM and other implementing agencies.
The artists from CBC, J&K presented colourful theme based singing and dance items, while an open quiz competition was also organized which witnessed a huge participation of youth in ITI Ramban.
The programme culminated with prize distribution and votes of thanks by S. Gurnam Singh.
