Winter Youth & Sports Festival concludes in B’gam

Srinagar : The Winter Youth and Sports festival was organised by police in Budgam under J&K Police Civic Action Programme culminated at District Police Lines ground Budgam. Earlier SSP Budgam organised the Taekwondo Championship, Open Badminton Tournament, and Open Painting Competitions and these events attracted hundreds of sportsmen and local people with colourful performances by youth and artists.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar Budgam Winter Volleyball tournament’s final was played between the Young Spikers Nasrullahpora and Kashmir Elite Club Budgam at District Police Lines ground Budgam in which Kashmir elite won the match 2:1. Sixteen (16) teams from across the district participated in the tournament. SSP Budgam Tahir Gilani distributed the trophies and mementoes among the participants. The event was also attended by Dy SP DAR DPL Owaise Rashid, DySP (P) Faisal Arif Rishu and other senior officers of Budgam Police.
