Srinagar :To bridge the gap between police & public, Police on Monday said that it has facilitated a Police Community Partnership (PCPG) meeting at Police Station DH Pora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar police said that the meeting was chaired by SDPO DH Pora DrShowkat Ahmad along with SHO DH Pora besides, other officers and officials of Police Station DH Pora were also present. The meeting was attended by prominent persons, youth, Auqaf committee members, Chowkidars and other functionaries of DH Pora and its adjacent areas. Addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon them to maintain brotherhood, and help in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in the area. The chairing officers on this occasion also requested the participants to provide the information to nearest police unit about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for appropriate action against the offenders. The participants on this occasion appreciated the process of organising such events by police department in which an opportunity is provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society and seek their redressal for the betterment of society. The chairing officers assured them that their issues pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police would be resolved on priority. The participants assured their full support & cooperation in curbing the menace of social evils of the society.
