DC B’pora reviews healthcare services in the Distt

Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, DrOwais Ahmad on Friday chaired a meeting of officers to review the healthcare services being provided in the district.
The meeting discussed the posting details of the healthcare staff, vacancies of medical officer, availability of USG and X-ray units in CHCs and PHCs.
DrOwais also sought progress report and physical achievements of various Missions, schemes and targets like institution delivery progress, AnaemiaMukht Bharat, IMR and MMR, ANC, Status of Referrals, Work done of DEIC/ RBSK, KAYAKALP report, National Mental Health programme (NMHP), National Healthcare of elderly (NPHCE), PMJAY SEHAT and Ayushman Bharat.
DrOwais directed the officers to improve targets of various schemes besides ensuring aadhar based enrollment of children.
He also asked the department to register PHC’s in KAYAKALP besides urging them to ensure 100 percent enrollment under Ayushman Bharat.
The DC directed concerned to ensure regular Ultrasound and X-ray facility in hospitals 24*7 besides directing for proper utilization of unused Machines and equipments.
He urged officers to augment the healthcare facilities in CHCs and PHCs so that the District hospital is not over burdened and similarly asked the CMO to ensure better healthcare services in District Hospital Bandipora to avoid frequent referrals to city hospitals.
The DC also called for special focus on mental health counselling by activating counseling cell at district level.
He also urged them to create awareness regarding mental health to students through school camps.
The meeting also urged the department to aware people about 108 free ambulances and the TELE MANAS helpline through Boards and digital screens.
The meeting was attended by CMO Bandipora Dr. Bashir Ahmad Khan, Nodal Officer Coordination Bandipora M A Hakak, BMOs, Ayush representatives, MS District Hospital Bandipora, besides other medical officers and staff.
