DC B’gam takes stock of developmental activities, stresses on prompt delivery of Public Services

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Thursday chaired a public grievances redressal camp at PanchayatHalqaChewdara in Block Rathsun.
On the occasion, PRIs and other respected People from villages of Chewdara, Rathsun, Gondipora, Mirpora, Check, Wanihuma and other adjacent villages apprised the DC about their demands.
After giving patient hearing to the public, the DC directed the concerned to take up all required works on priority.
He said that work on the ongoing projects like WSS will be completed in stipulated time frame to provide adequate potable water supply to residents of Chewdara and other adjoining villages.
The DC instructed concerned to identify suitable land for the development of playgrounds at the village on war footing. He said the work on the same be completed within the shortest possible time period to facilitate sports facilities to local youths.
PDD authorities were directed to conduct surveys for improvement of works related to electricity in the area.
Earlier, the Rural Development department was directed to identify land for construction of Panchayatghar.
Concerned BMO was given instructions to ensure better Health facilities are provided to the general public.
Speaking on the occasion, DC directed concerned to ensure work on the road development and better transport facilities are provided to the people.
The DC stressed on coordination between departments and availability of field functionaries on the ground for the general public. He directed the concerned Panchayat secretary to pen down genuine demands of the public of the area and send all the demands to district administration for speedy disposal.
He emphasized that works related to irrigation, road development, and improvement in other sectors be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience.
The DC also appealed to locals to cooperate with the Administration so that there is overall development of the area.
On the occasion, BDO concerned was directed to ensure that all the genuine demands of the public are addressed on priority basis. He further said, Administration is keen for completion of developmental works under MGNREGA and other schemes and public welfare initiatives in the area , so that there is upliftment of every sector in the said place.
Regarding Rozgarmela, the DC said youth are an important component of any society, such melas are beneficial for their growth and development. He directed the concerned department to register all the unemployed youth of the area.
Among others, CMO Budgam, SDM Beerwah, BDO, BMO, Executive Engineers from various engineering wings, and other district officers and officials attended the programme.
