Rajouri: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Shammi Kumar on Monday conducted massive checking of vehicles with special focus on school buses to ensure the safety of students. During the inspection, 10 vehicles were challaned for different traffic violations, while three vehicles were seized for plying without documents.
The inspection was carried out as part of the efforts of the Transport Department to ensure that all vehicles, especially school buses, comply with the safety regulations and rules. The ARTO and his team checked the condition of the vehicles, the documents of the drivers, the fitness of the vehicles, and the availability of necessary safety equipment.
The ARTO emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, especially for school buses, which are responsible for the safety of children. He urged the drivers and owners of the vehicles to ensure that all necessary safety measures are in place and to maintain their vehicles in good condition.
