Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has solved a burglary case within 48 hours by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property on their disclosures in Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a complaint was received by Police Station Pattan from one person namely Nusrat Mehmood R/O Newran Chuker Pattan who had alleged therein that during the intervening night of 2nd & 3rd February 2023, some unknown burglars barged into his house and stole household items including Inverter, Battery etc.
Stating that a case vide FIR Number 37/2023 under relevant sections of law was accordingly registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation too was initiated, Police while giving details said that during the course of investigation, taking aid of technical and human resources, the investigating team zeroed in on two suspects identified as Fayaz Ahmad Rather S/O Ali Mohd Rather and Aadil Ahmad Reshi S/O Ghulam Mohd Reshi, both residents of Palpora Pattan. Police in it’s statement further said that during questioning the duo confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure stolen property was recovered.
Police in it’s statement also said that the duo accused persons were accordingly arrested by it and have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that people of the area has appreciated the efforts of police for cracking/solving the case within the shortest possible time. Police on this occasion assured the people to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
