Turkey, Syria Earthquake: Special prayers held in mosques, shrines across Kashmir

Srinagar On Friday, special prayers were held in all of the valley’s major mosques, shrines, and Imambarahs, including the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar, for those who died in the tragic earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.
At the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Imam Hai Moulana Ahmad Saeed Naqshbandi prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and the quick recovery of those injured and expressed his solidarity and compassion for the people of Turkey and Syria.
The death toll from the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria four days ago has surpassed 21,000, according to the latest data released by authorities and rescuers. The powerful earthquakes that shook Turkey and Syria this week are among the most devastating and deadliest quakes in recent history.
