Srinagar : Police on Friday said it along with Geology & Mining Deptt has seized 3 vehicles in south Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Litter along with officials from Geology & Mining department raided different locations and seized 3 JCB machines for their involvement in illegal extraction of minerals from Ranbir Nallah at Litter Pulwama.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Litter and investigations have been initiated, Police in the concluding para of the above quoted statement warned that persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
