Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case within 72hours by arresting four persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said Police Station Pattan on 5th February this year received a complaint from Gh Hassan Rather resident of Pakipora Pattan who alleged therein that during intervening nights of 1st & 2nd February-2023, some unknown burglars barged into his shop and stole cigarettes and other items. “Police accordingly, registered a case vide FIR No. 32/2023 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated”, reads the above referred police statement.
Stating that during the preliminary course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface and one among them identified as Azad Mukhtar Hajam son of Mukhtar Hajam resident of Singhpora Pattan was called for questioning, Police in it’s statement furthermore said that after thorough interrogation the above named accused disclosed that he along with three more persons identified as Altaf Ahmad Dar son of GhMohd Dar resident of Reshipora Hanjiwera, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat son of GhRasool Bhat resident of Singhpora Pattan and Jamshed Ahmad Waza S/O Gh Mohd Waza resident of Singhpora Pattan are involved in the commission of crime, who were subsequently arrested in the instant case.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that on the disclosure of the above named accused the stolen property along with tools used for burglary were recovered from their possession, Stating therein also that the said accused have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that the people of the area has appreciated its efforts for cracking/solving the case within shortest possible time. Police on this occasion also reassured the people to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
