DC Kishtwar presides over Weekly Block Diwas Prog at Chamoti Drabshalla

Kishtwar: To listen and redress the grievances/issues of people at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. DevanshYadavon Wednesday presided over Weekly Block Diwasprogramme at Chamoti, a very remote and backward ST area of block Drabshalla.
Among others, the programme was attended DDC member Drabshalla A, Ashok Kumar; ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; Chief Education Officer, Sudershan Sharma; CDPO Drabshalla, FarhatShameem; AEE Jal Shakti besides representatives of RDD, Education, Jal Shakti.
During the programme, various issues pertaining to the Panchayat were put forth by the DDC Member and public representatives of the areas. They demanded augmentation of drinking water supply scheme under JJM, electrification of left out villages, up-gradation of MS Chamoti to High School, Health Centre, PMGSY road for upper Chamoti, Payment of Compensation of land acquired for Chamoti Road, besides jobs for the unskilled youth in Rattle Hydro electric project.
The DC gave a patient hearing and resolved the majority of them on the spot by passing up a slew of directors to the Officers of the concerned departments. He assured them that the rest of the grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.
He encouraged parents to send the identified 60 Out of School Children back to school. He said a report with all documents will be submitted by NaibTehsildar and DSEO to facilitate issuance of Birth certificates to 40 identified children lacking the same.
He said that people need not to worry about the ongoing Anti-Encroachment Drive as the government is committed to safeguard the interests of common people.
Regarding the construction of Dispensary at Chamoti, he directed Sarpanch and concerned NaibTehsildar to identify the land for the same. He also added that soon an ambulance donated by Ratle Hydroelectric power project authorities under CSR will be made available for the area soon which will carry JananaiSurakshaYojna Pregnant Women to Drabshalla PHC on monthly basis.
AEE, Jal Shakti Department was directed to strictly adhere to the parameters under DPR of WSS Chamoti to ensure the water supply to the identified habitations. He further informed that an ST hostel and sports stadium will be taken up under RR plan and it will serve the needs of local youth.
He urged the Sarpanches to furnish a list of orphans to DSWO Kishtwar for providing them the Hostel Facilities under the departmental schemes.
Regarding the Road connectivity to left out habitations, the Deputy Commissioner asked the PMGSY authorities to formulate project Reports as per the guidelines.
He also directed CEO Kishtwar to explore possibilities for the upgradation of MS Chamoti to High School and also ensure the repair and maintenance of said school under SAMAGRA.
Earlier, the DC, in presence of BDC Chairman DrabshallaSuraj Singh, DDC member Drabshalla Ashok Kumar, ACD, CEO Kishtwar and ExEn PWD Ravinder Kumar inaugurated the Health & Wellness Centre Drabshalla, besides its approach road constructed under MGNREGA.
