Chairperson DDC attends outreach Prog on Swachhta Abhiyan

Udhampur: Chairman, District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand attended the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communication Field Office Udhampur in Government Higher Secondary School Barolla to promote SwachhtaAbhiyan Campaign.
The objective of the event was to educate the students about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene and to raise awareness among them about the SwachhtaAbhiyan campaign. The programme included interactive activities, discussions on the importance of keeping the surroundings clean, the dangers of littering and competitions aimed at engaging the students in the cause.
Chairman DDC, Lal Chand, in his address praised the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Udhampur for organizing the programme on regular intervals in District Udhampur. He also praised the efforts of the authorities of the Higher Secondary School Barolla for promoting the SwachhtaAbhiyan campaign and emphasized the importance of cleanliness in the maintenance of a healthy environment. He said, “The SwachhtaAbhiyan campaign is a step towards creating a cleaner and greener environment and it is our duty to support it. It is the responsibility of each and every citizen to keep their surroundings clean and promote the message of cleanliness. I hope that the students and teachers will take the message of cleanliness and hygiene back to their communities.”
The students of the Higher Secondary School Barolla actively participated in the different activities and competitions related to the SwachhtaAbhiyan campaign.
Winners of the event were felicitated with certificates and prizes. In the end of the programme, Chairman DDC Udhampur and Chairman Block Development Council Udhampur flagged off the rally to spread mass awareness about SwachhtaAbhiyan.
Among others, Chairperson Block Development Council Udhampur, Balwan Singh, GhulamAbass Joint Director CBC GoI, KhursheedYousuf [IIS] Field Publicity Officer GoI, Gurnam Singh CHC UdhampurGoI, Pratiba Gupta Principal GHSS Barolla, SarpanchBarolla were also present.
