Winter Camp for NSS volunteers begins in GDC Kishtwar

Kishtwar: A seven day long NSS Winter Camp started on Thursday in Government Degree College Kishtwar under the aegis of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav.
The camp was inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr.JyotiParihar in presence of Prof. Umar Din Rather, Dr. AtherHussain, Dr Tariq Hussain, Prof. Akshey Sharma, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Munish Kumar and Prof. SonikaSen (NSS Programme Officer).
Dr.JyotiParihar (Principal), in her address, laid emphasis on the importance of self-discipline, time-management and ethics for development of any society. She encouraged students to render selfless services for the betterment of community and nation. She applauded the students for their commitment.
Prof. SonikaSen (NSS P.O) briefed about various events and activities to be organised during the seven day winter camp.
NSS pledge was taken by the volunteers who later participated in a poster – making competition on Drug Abuse.
The program was anchored by Mutaqen-ul- Islam. Volunteers were very enthusiastic about the special winter camp despite harsh weather conditions.
The volunteers will be given certificates after successful completion of the camp.
