Drugs Control Authority seizes scheduled drugs at Kulgam

Kulgam: On specific inputs regarding the movement of scheduled drugs, multiple raids were Thursday conducted at several places in Kulgamdistrict by a team of Drug officials under the supervision of Dy. Drugs Controller Kashmir.
During the raids, scheduled drugs worth Rs.31,740 liable to be misused were seized on the spot and court proceedings were also initiated in the matter.
Meanwhile, a strict message has been passed time and again by Divisional and District Administration Kulgam that there will be zero tolerance for misuse of any drug.
Officers from Drug Control Authority informed that the Drug dealers in District Kulgam have already been sensitized with the issues who have been strictly directed to adhere to the safe drug dispensing rules.
Further, the drug dealers have been made to install CCTV cameras and banners with do’s and don’ts of drug dispensing as per the directives of Divisional Administration.
