DHEW G’bal conducts Awareness/ Outreach Prog at Safapora

Ganderbal: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Mission Shakti Ganderbal Thursday conducted an awareness camp cum outreach programme at SafaporaGanderbal with NRLM self help groups.
Programme was attended by almost 50 women including adolecentgilrs, local women, registered beneficiaries of SHGs of Safapora team from DHEW and NRLM.
On the occasion, the resource persons highlighted the working and functioning of Mission Shakti Ganderbal. They raised awareness on different schemes like Pension schemes, Scholarship schemes, Prosthetic Aids, SMAS etc among participants.
The team also threw light on Women empowerment schemes available at district level such as DHEW, OSC, WHL 181, Shelter Home, Marriage Assistance scheme, PMMVY, Employment generation schemes such as Tajeswani, Mumkin, PMEGP, etc.
DHEW team provided awareness regarding updated schemes, criteria and documentation.
They also gave detailed information on how DHEW-Mission Shakti is playing an effective role by providing awareness/ training among young female folks to generate self-employment by taking advantage of available schemes at district level.
Problems such as domestic voilence, eve teasing, cyber crimes and other problems faced by women and their solutions were also discussed by team.
Later, many women were linked under different schemes and pamphlets of all helplines were distributed among the ladies.
