DDC Chairman Samba reviews plan formulation, govt. schemes outlay & achievements

Samba : A meeting of District Development Council Samba Chaired by the Council Chairman KeshavDutt Sharma was on Thursday held to review the plan formulation for developmental works, schemes outlay besides achievements under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
DDC Vice Chairman Balwan Singh and other Council members attended the meeting held here in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta, Additional District Development commissioner Rajinder Singh, Chief Planning Officer SukhleenKour, PO ICDS, CMO DrVidhiBathial, All BDO’s, DDC Members, BDC Chairman & Members, Sarpanches, Panches, besides the officers from different departments were also present in the meeting.
At the outset, the DC Samba gave a detailed brief of physical and financial achievements of line departments including Social Welfare, Rural Development, PWD, Power, Jal Shakti, Medical & Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Sericulture Departments for financial year 2022-23.
Deputy Commissioner discussed in detail the contours of plan formulation with all stakeholders and laid emphasis on officers to include developmental aspirations of all the sections of society in the draft plan. She emphasised the importance of plan and exhorted elected members to personally ensure that development works in their area are adequately reflected as to alter the plan on later stages bring hindrances to the pace of developmental works.
Listing various government sponsored schemes, the DC urged the participants to encourage the people to avail the benefits of these schemes for which they can apply online in a transparent and effective manner.
The District officers gave a detailed brief of schemes including social security schemes like Old Age Pensions, scholarships, UDID cards, Health schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Rural development schemes like 14th FC, MGNREGA, SBM, PMAY etc, Power Development schemes RDSS, Agriculture like NMSA, SMAM, MIDH, NFSM PMKSY, PMKKKY, RKVY, PM FasalBimaYojana, KCC, PM-Kissan, Farm machinery, Distribution of quality seeds, besides others.
Speaking in the meeting, the DDC chairperson asked the concerned officers to mobilize the resources at work places and speed up the pace of developmental works with strict adherence to the quality parameters.
The Chairperson further laid emphasis on the timely completion of all development projects and timely utilisation of allotted funds to the concerned departments.
He also laid emphasis on plan formulation for developmental works to be formulated in close coordination with sectoral officers.
