Mehbooba instigating people against the just anti- encroachment drive of J&K Admin: BJP’s Brig Gupta

Jammu: Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta the Spokesman J&K BJP on Wednesday accused PDP President and former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of instigating people against the just anti-encroachment drive of Jammu & Kashmir Government.
In a statement issued on Wednesday the J&K BJP spokesman said that while the ongoing anti-encroachment drive against the big land sharks, politicians, bureaucrats, and influential persons has been welcomed by the
majority of law-abiding citizens of Jammu & Kashmir the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti is using the same to instigate members of a particular community in order to turn it into a law and order problem playing her usual victim card and communal assault.
“Her call to the people of Jammu & Kashmir to unitedly rise against the
administration is a clear act of provocation against the government that is
implementing the orders of the Honourable High Court”, said the J&K BJP Spokesman, adding that “ In doing so Mehbooba has once again displayed her hatred for the constitutional authorities and IndianArmy by involving the LG and Army authorities and terming Raj Bhavan and Badami Bagh Cantonment as encroachment of the state land”.
Blaming Mehbooba Mufti for spinning lies to provoke the people Brig Gupta
reminded her that the Army is in occupation of the land that belonged to the
erstwhile state forces of the Maharaja as it was decided to hand over the
possession of such land to the Indian Army after the unilateral ceasefire
declared by Pandit Nehru in 1948, the J&K BJP Spokesman said “In fact, the palatial bungalows occupied by the politicians on Gupkar Road, which earned them the title of Gupkaris, also belong to the Army as it was the property of the State Forces”.
Stating that in her hate-filled tirade, she also blamed the BJP for using the anti-
encroachment drive to persecute the people of J&K and uproot them from
their homes, Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta said “ Mehbooba’s statement is contrary to the assurances given time and again by the Lt Governor that the rights of the common man and poor man will be secured and their lands will not be touched”, Stating therein further that “ Lt Governor has further assured that only
Powerful and influential people who misused their position to encroach upon
the State land will surely be evicted”.
Brigadier (Retd) Gupta in his statement further said “the turn of events so far clearly indicates that the government is committed to it’s stand but Mehbooba is trying to unnecessarily politicize the entire exercise to free the encroached state land which can be used for welfare projects for the common men as well as
generate revenue for the cash-strapped J&K” .
Challenging Mehbooba Mufti to give even one incident of a poor man’s house being demolished, the J&K BJP Spokesman asked Mehbooba Mufti to stop making false statements to create a wedge between the government and the masses.
