Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Saturday inaugurated Skill Training programme for 180 youth under Skill Acquisition & Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) at ITI College Chawalgam, here.
Present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam,Viqar Ahmed Giri; Superintendent ITI College SahilRasheed and other officers and staff members of the college.
These youth were identified during Back to village phase four to impart skill training to them and make them able to get sustainable livelihood after attaining proper skill training in different trades/courses.
After inaugurating the training programme, the DC interacted with these candidates and emphasized to them to learn skills properly to be able to earn livelihood for themselves and generate employment for others as well.
He also directed the superintendent ITI to make the training programme effective so that the youth will be in position for self employment after completion of the training from the college.
