R-Day Celebrations: Commissioner State Taxes unfurls national flag at office Complex

Jammu: State Taxes & Excise Departments on Thursday celebrated the 74th Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervor at State Taxes & Excise Complex here.
The event commenced with the unfurling of Tricolor by Commissioner State Taxes, Dr.Rashmi Singh followed by singing of the National Anthem.
Dr.Rashmi Singh while speaking on the occasion, emphasized on valuable contributions of our freedom fighters and said the celebration is a tribute to those who participated in freedom movement.
She urges that everyone in our country continues to abide by the rules set forth in our constitution and preserves the integrity of this republican nation.
To mark the occasion, she also remembered Rabindranath Tagore by reciting his poem, “where the mind is without fear”.
She said that India is in our blood & wearing a multi-coloured turban symbolising the diversity of our nation.
Excise Commissioner, Pankaj Sharma; Additional Commissioner State Taxes (Tax Planning Policy and Advance Ruling), AnkitaKar; Additional Commissioner State Taxes (Administration and Enforcement), Jammu, NamritaDogra; Deputy Commissioners State Taxes and officers and officials of State Taxes and Excise Department also attended the event.
