Jammu: The Financial Commissioner Revenue and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Office on Thursday celebrated 74th Republic Day at Office Premises.
Financial Commissioner Revenue, ShaleenKabra unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.
Among others Additional Commissioner with FCR, Rishpal Singh; Additional Commissioner with Div Com, Pawan Sharma; Additional Commissioner with Div Com, PankajKatoch; Administrative Officer, PawanKotwal; Assistant Commissioners with Div Com, Principal Private Secretary, Accounts Officer and Officials of FCR and Divisional Commissioner Office were present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion Kabra congratulated all the officers and officials.

Sheep Husbandry Department: Republic Day was celebrated at Sheep Husbandry Complex, Jammu, hereThursday.
Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, KrishanLal unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. Director lauded the valuable contribution of Indian Nationals.
All the Officers/Officials of the Department were present on the occasion.

Directorate of Health Services Jammu: 74th Republic Day was celebrated Thursday in Directorate of Health Services Jammu under the aegis of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav with great patriotic fervour.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman unfurled the Tricolour in presence of all officers and officials of the Directorate. This was followed by singing of the National Anthem.
Addressing the gathering, DHS Jammu congratulated them on the occasion of Republic Day and said the day has great significance as India became a sovereign democratic and republic on this day. The Constitution of India was adopted on Jan 26 1950, which provides fundamental rights to every citizen of the country.

Horticulture Department: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram SavakThursday unfurled Tricolor at the Horticulture complex, GolePullyTalabTillo Jammu to mark the celebration of 74th Republic Day in the presence of Joint Director Horticulture Jammu, Dy. Director Horticulture (central) and other officers and officials of the department.
Director emphasized on the importance of Republic Day and also encouraged the horticulture fraternity to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the welfare of the farming community.

IIM Jammu: IIM Jammu celebrated the 74thRepublic Day at the Institute with patriotic fervor. The Republic Day commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by a review of the Parade by Prof. B.S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu at its Canal Road Campus. The unfurling of the National flag at Jallochak Campus was done by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics, IIM Jammu. This was followed by the national anthem. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director IIM Jammu in his Republic Day address advised everyone to work hand in hand for the progress and development of the Nation. He announced the commencement of two Centers by IIM Jammu – the Center for Diversity and Inclusivity and the establishment of Centers for Small Business Development (SBDU) for the first time in India. He also mentioned the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Jammu and Srinagar including the opening of IIM Jammu Off Campus at Ladakh. He also mentioned IIM Jammu achieving 36th rank in the recently held NIRF Rankings and working further to enhance its ranking in the forthcoming rankings. Further, he laid impetus on achieving academic excellence, research, and on all other fronts for the Institute to move ahead. He also credited the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Government of J&K for their constant support of the Institute on all fronts. He concluded his speech by commenting that the day was indeed an extremely proud day for every Indian and urged everyone to celebrate it to the fullest.
This was followed by a cultural program by the faculty, officers, staff, and students of the Institute at the transit campuses of IIM Jammu.

District Jail Rajouri: National Flag ceremony was celebrated in District Jail Rajouri. The National Flag has been hoisted by Superintendent Jail,Sanjeev Kumar in District Jail Rajouri, the guard of honour for Rashtriya Salute has been presented by the Jawan of CRPF Personnel.
Superintendent Jail highlighted the importance of the day and conveyed good wishes to all on behalf of D.G.P Prisons and also distributed the sweets.

JKEDI: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s (JKEDI) Bari Brahmana Campus. The celebration began with hoisting of the National Flag by Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director JKEDI, followed by the National Anthem.
In his address, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat highlighted the significance of the day and reiterated the facets of the Constitution and how it is an invaluable heritage. He recalled the sacrifices made by thousands of patriots in the fight for nation’s freedom. He added that youth should take a proactive role in nation building while maintaining the fundamental core of our Constitution and India’s sovereign rights.
The Institute’s building was tastefully decorated with flowers and national flags. The celebrations took place in presence of the faculty members, officers and subordinate staff of the Institute. Everyone present was feeling patriotic and happy as it is a matter of great pride.

District Court Kathua: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated in District Court Complex (Headquarter) Kathua with full zeal and enthusiasm.The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kathua JafferHussain Beg (who is also Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua) followed by the National Anthem.
The program was attended by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua Swati Gupta, Special Mobile Magistrate, KathuaSurinder Kumar Thappa, District Mobile Magistrate, KathuaShilpaDogra, Munsiff JMIC, CheenaSumbria, Kathua, Deputy Director Prosecution, PawanKhajuria and all officers of Prosecution Department, President Bar Association Kathua, AjatShatru, Advocates, Panel Lawyers of DLSA Kathua, Police Personnels, staff members and Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Kathua.

Forest Protection Force: Joint Director Forest Protection Force Jammu, IfitAra unfurled the National Flag at FPF HQ Complex Narwal followed by National Anthem.
SMVDU KATRA: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
Registrar SMVDU, Nagendra Singh Jamwal unfurled the National Flag in presence of Finance Officer, Neeraj Gupta, deans and heads of all departments, staff and students.
Nagendra Singh Jamwal greeted the University fraternity and expressed that it is a matter of pride for all of us that over the period of years, India has excelled in every field.
He emphasized that the university has achieved a niche among the top-class universities in India. He said in the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India (NIRF), SMVDU has also been ranked the Top 150 universities in the country and the ranking has been maintained since 2019.
Underlining that Inter-disciplinary curriculum and multi-disciplinary education are at the heart of National Education Policy-2020 to train future innovators and leaders, Registrar SMVDU said National Education Policy will play a significant role in making India a Knowledge super power.
He further said to commemorate the AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, several activities were initiated by the University and the main component of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav is to connect the youth to our rich heritage.
He recited the Preamble of the constitution of India so that everyone, right from children to the youth may understand the spirit of the constitution and uphold it. He acknowledged the great visionaries who penned the world longest written constitution and also paid homage to Dr. B R Ambedkar and quoted the vision of the creators of our constitution that there is a need of translating the political republic into a social republic as well.
