Ganderbal: 74th Republic Day was on Thursday celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Sub-Division Kangan.
The main function was held at ITI Kangan in which BDC Chairperson Kangan, Mohammad YousufPoswal unfurled the tricolor and took salute at the march past.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kangan, Javid Ahmed Rather; SDPO KanganMuzafar Ahmad Jan; TehsildarKangan, TehsildarGund besides officers from various security agencies and other sectoral officers were present.
PRI members and large public gatherings also participated enthusiastically in the function.
On the occasion, various cultural programs including patriotic songs and local folk music were presented by the students and local artists who were appreciated by the audience.
The function concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates and mementos to the students and artists who performed in cultural progra PRIs, officials and frontline workers were also felicitated for their outstanding work while performing their legitimate duties.
