Republic Day Arrangements finalised at B’pora

B’pora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Monday convened a meeting of officers at mini secretariat here to finalise the arrangements for Republic Day-2023.
The meeting discussed threadbare various preparations regarding Republic Day celebrations and full dress rehearsal at different venues across the district.
The meeting discussed arrangements put in place including event management, security, seating arrangement as per protocol, car parking, transportation, besides refreshments, sanitation and other arrangements.
It was informed that adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth celebration of the Republic day function and all the concerned officers gave details of their preparations with regard to smooth conduct of the National event.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon all the concerned to be proactive and implement the plan designed for R-Day celebrations in letter and spirit for successful celebrations.
He asked them to adopt proper procedure and protocol for flag unfurling in every event across the district.
The meeting also discussed preparations and measures taken up for Republic Day celebrations at Sub-divisional, Block and panchayat levels.
The DC directed BDOs to properly organise events at Panchayat level following proper procedure and protocol.
Dr. Owais directed all officers to ensure presence along with staff at full dress rehearsal on 24th and R-Day celebrations on 26th.
SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma on the occasion said that all the arrangements related to proper security have been taken up and asked the Officers and officials to coordinate with security agencies during Republic Day celebrations and full dress rehearsal.
He said a fool proof security plan and route plan has been devised in coordination with District Administration and urged all the concerned to cooperate with enforcing agencies.
Other arrangements were also reviewed which include refreshment, cultural programmes, reception of chief guest, transport, fire and emergency services, cultural programmes and other arrangements.
The Meeting was attended by SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma, ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, Nodal coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, Commanding officers of 14RR, 13RR and 26 RR, Commandant 3rd BN CRPF, Commandant HQ 14th BN BSF and other concerned officers from Civil Administration, Police and other concerned.
