Srinagar: Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) distributed stationary items and sewing machines among needy of district Shopian here on Wednesday. SSP Shopian inaugurateed MHC/LO office in District Police Lines Shopian.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar SSP Shopian Tanushree distributed stationary items and sewing machines among the students and needy families of various parts of the district. He also inaugurated MHC/LO office in District Police Lines Shopian.
The SSP Shopian while interacting with the beneficiaries assured them all possible support from Police department in order to make their lives easy and comfortable. She advised the Police officers and jawans to show empathy and kindness towards needy segment of the society and come forward with helping hands to them. She also asked the beneficiaries not to allow their social hindrances to come in their ways and to stay active in their lives in pursuit of their goals. Police said that the ASP Shopian, SDPO Zainapora, DySP PC Keller and other officers were also present on the occasion.
