R- Day 2023 arrangements finalized at Kupwara

Kupwara: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. DoifodeSagarDattatray, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, GhulamNabiBhaton Tuesday chaired a meeting of all concerned officers, here to finalize the arrangements for smooth and hassle free celebration of Republic Day, 2023.
ADDC Kupwara; ADC Handwara; SP Kupwara, SDM Lolab, CEO, CMO, CAO, DIO, AD Planning, District and Sectoral Officers were present on the occasion, besides senior officers of BSF, CRPF and Police.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion and the officers gave details of their preparations with regard to smooth celebration of the National Event.
The meeting was informed that the function will start with ShahnaiVadan at 8:00 AM, while the National Flag will be hoisted at 9:55 AM.
The meeting was further informed that the main function of the Republic Day will be held at District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara, where National Flag will be hoisted and the VIP will take salute on the March Past comprising the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, IRP, BSF, FPP, Home Guard, NCC cadets and school children.
The ADC asked all officers to work with coordination and ensure proper arrangements on ground for smooth conduct of the event.
It was given out in the meeting that uninterrupted power and water supply shall be kept available at the venue for which concerned officers were given directions on the spot.
Likewise, CMO was directed to keep ambulance with first aid and doctors available at the venue. EO MC Kupwara was asked to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness at the event. The Information Department was asked to ensure proper coverage of the event besides installation of the Public Address System. Police department was asked to keep an alternate PAS system/DG System available at the venue.
Other arrangements were also reviewed which include refreshment for cultural programmes, reception of chief guest, transport, fire and emergency services, cultural programmes, deployment of magistrates, distribution of invitation cards, selection of officers/officials for recognition of their extraordinary services, barricading and other arrangements.
The ADC asked concerned officers to ensure proper exhibition of schemes through Tableau to showcase developmental activities of their respective departments and government schemes. He said all efforts shall be made to make the National function more attractive and informative.
He directed the concerned officers to maintain proper protocol in seating arrangement. The ADC also asked Officers to ensure their presence including that of staff in the Republic Day functions and ensure flag hoisting in their respective offices.
