Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers and also recovered psychotropic substances from their possession in Ganderbal district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party led by SHO PS Kheerbawani Insp. MudasirZaroo at a checkpoint established at Hatbura arrested two drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmad GanieS/o Bashir Ahmad Ganie and Fayaz Ah Dar S/o Gh Hassan Dar, both residents of KachanGanderbal, Stating therein further that during searches officers recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 04/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Kheerbawani and investigation has been initiated.
In the concluding para of the statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood and reiterated that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
