Senior Officers of Distt Admin inspect functioning of essential services across Ang

Anantnag: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, DrBasharatQayoom, senior officers of the District Administration visited several areas of the district and took stock of the functioning of essential services, control rooms, Snow clearance in the interiors and health facilities here on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag said that the purpose of these visits is to ensure that clearance operations as well as working of essential services are maintained not only in towns but also in villages and remote areas of the district. He emphasized that control rooms, both at District and sub district levels are actively answering any calls for help and people should feel free to reach out to these for any assistance.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag visited several parts of Anantnag town and inspected the Snow clearance operations in residential areas. He inspected the clearance of lanes and service roads.
He also inspected the functioning of KPDCL workshop at Lazibal where directions were issued for time bound replacement of affected transformers.
The ADDC later visited JanglatMandi and MCCH Anantnag.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag accompanied by SDM Dooru, Executive Engineer R&B Qazigund, TehsildarQazigund, AEE KPDCL and EO MC visited several parts of Qazigund area. He interacted with staff from KPDCL who assured the visiting officer that all feeders have been charged and they are ready to tackle any outages.
He visited SDH Qazigund and PHCs in the area to take stock of the health facilities being extended to patients.
The ADC also visited the R&B Control Room in Qazigund and issued directions for ensuring immediate Snow clearance in case of fresh Snowfall. He also inspected the responses to various calls received by the control room.
Another Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) visited Mattan and Aishmuqam areas in the district.
Accompanied by CMO Anantnag, he inspected the functioning of SDH Seer and PHC Mattan. Interacting with MC officials in both areas, he stressed on ensuring all lanes and interiors are clean and ready for use by pedestrians. He also appealed people to exercise caution while venturing outside due to slippery conditions.
The ADC took stock of the water supply in Mattan and Seer and was informed that Jal Shakti staff are ready to address any supply issues. He called for swift responses to help calls received in control rooms, particularly in view of the heavy tourist movement in the area.
Similarly, SDM Bijbehara also inspected the clearance in the interiors of Bijbehara, Srigufwara areas. He said that lanes and interior roads in towns as well as villages in Srigufwara and Bijbehara have been cleaned. He said Snow clearance wherever pending will be completed by the next day. He said roads leading to health facilities are operational and sub divisional control rooms are activated for any assistance.
