Jammu : J&K BJP Spokesman Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta has while raising questions over Congress Party’s Kashmir Policy advised the grand old party to rename Rahul Gandhi-led “Bharat Jodo Yatra” scheduled to enter J&K on 20th January as “Mafi Mango Yatra”.
In a Statement issued on Saturday Brigadier (Retd) Gupta said “While Rahul Gandhi led Yatra enters J&K, it would be most appropriate for the Congress party to re-name it as Maafi Maango Yatra, since “Bharat Jodo” was completed in
August 2019 by Modi Government by abrogating and making and void
those instruments that had been introduced by the Congress to disintegrate
India (Bharat Todo) by allowing Jammu and Kashmir to become a ‘State within
the State.”.
Stating that Rahul and his entourage will have to seek pardon and apologise to the victims of those exclusive laws which kept them deprived of their basic rights for more than seven decades, the J&K BJP Spokesman Brigadier (Retd. ) Anil Guta said “ Article 370 was inserted in the Indian Constitution at the insistence of Nehru despite vehement opposition to it in the Constituent Assembly and by Sardar Patel and Dr Ambedkar”, adding that “Rahul would need to apologise for signing the Delhi Agreement in 1952 by PM Nehru with Sheikh Abdullah without the approval of his Cabinet which made Sheikh Abdullah more defiant and assertive by conceding to almost all his demands that allowed the State to have a separate Constitution, a separate Flag and ensuring that most of the Constitution of India do not apply to J&K”.
The J&K BJP Spokesman in his above referred statement also said that Rahul Gandhi will also have to apologise for Nehru conceding Sheikh’s demand of
denying Fundamental Rights to the citizens of J&K while Indians in the rest of
the country enjoyed the same, Stating therein further that “Rahul would also need to apologise and repent for the cardinal sin of his great maternal grandfather for unilaterally declaring the ceasefire in 1948 and taking the issue to UN without consulting his cabinet, agreeing to a plebiscite and thus authoring the so-called ‘Kashmir Problem”.
Stating that Rahul Gandhi will also have to apologise to the people of Ladakh for ceding so much of their territory to China in 1962, the J&K BJP Spokesman said
“There are many other acts of his family members for which “Maafi Mangna”
(to apologise) is necessary”, adding that “ In !971, Indira Gandhi failed to bargain the return of POJK to India in lieu of more than one lakh POWs and captured territories”.
The J&K BJP spokesman in the above referred statement further said that in
!975, late Indira Gandhi got back Sheikh Abdullah, who earlier had been jailed by her father on charges of sedition, to rule J&K and allow the Sheikh to continue with his unfinished agenda of Kashmiri Muslim supremacy, promoting dynastic rule, suppressing and eliminating Dogra culture and heritage and discriminating with Jammu and Ladakh, the J &K BJP Spokesman said “Rahul will need to apologise for the failure of his father PM Rajiv Gandhi to take timely action by deliberately ignoring the warnings of the brewing trouble in the state given by the then Governor Jagmohan and instead allowing willing defiance of authority leading to a full-blown militancy”.
Stating that last but not the least, Rahul Gandhi would have to apologise for the soft Pak policy of Manmohan Singh’s government which was remotely controlled by her mother as UPA President thus allowing Pakistan to convert the proxy war into a full- fledged hybrid war using Jihadi militants, the J&K BJP Spokesman Brigadier (Retd) Gupta said “Hence, on 30th January, apart from hoisting the national flag, in the company of those who have openly announced their opposition to it till the State Flag is restored, Rahul Gandhi would need to formally apologise to the people of J&K for the wounds Congress has inflicted on them.
