Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that one suspects was arrested in Kupwara by it in an action carried out alongwith and incriminating materials including narcotic substance & a pistol magazine were also from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that while acting on specific inputs about presence of narcotic substance arms & ammunition in the possession of two persons namely Sajid Khan and Majid Khan sons of Saif Ali Khan R/o Cheterkote, a joint search operation was launched by Police, Army (6-JAKRIF) along with tracker dog from 27Bn BSF.
Stating that during search operation, incriminating materials including 500 grams of Heroin like substance, one pistol magazine, 1,07,000/= cash, 12 syringes and 01 small size weighing scale were recovered from the house of above named accused in presence of Executive magistrate 1st class Tanghdar, Police in it’s statement further said that one of the accused persons, Sajid Khan was arrested and taken into the custody while his brother Majid Khan is yet to be arrested. In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that a case under FIR No. 08/2022 in relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation in the matter is in progress.
