Awantipora : On the occasion of MakarSankranti, IUST on Friday organized a function and celebrated the festival to appreciate diversity and strengthen brotherhood and harmony under Ek Bharat Shresta Initiative. The festival also called ShishurSaenkraat in Kashmir marks the solar transition to pleasant and warm seasons from extremely cold winters.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST Awantipora Prof Naseer Iqbal (Registrar IUST), Sameer Wazir (Finance Officer), Prof. Mohmad Amin (I/c Director Rinchen Shah Center for West Himalayan Cultures), DrAsifa Baba( Dean of Students) were also present.
