DDC Kulgam chairs DLRC meet; reviews performance of Banks

Kulgam: To review the performance of Banks and Line Departments for quarter ending September 30, 2022 under Annual Credit Plan and Govt Schemes, a District Level Review Committee/ District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting was Saturday held at mini-secretariat here under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi U Din Bhat.
During the meeting, LDM Kulgam Parvez Rashid apprised the chair that deposits of Banks stand at Rs 2078.89 Crores as on 30.09.2022 witnessing growth of 6.93% over September 2021, Advances stand at Rs.1908.67cr as on 30.09.2022 witnessing growth of 7.78% over September 2021. The Credit Deposit Ratio at 91.99% stood quite above the National BenchMark of 60%.
He also shared that under the District Annual Credit Plan (2022-23) of Rs.1623.13 Cr, Banks have disbursed Rs.583.08 Cr to 23578 beneficiaries during half year/quarter ended September 30, 2022 thus achieving 36% of ACP target.
DDC while reviewing sector wise achievements stressed upon Banks to improve credit dispensations in Agriculture, MSME. He also instructed the concerned to give more focus to housing and education sectors.
The chair was also informed by LDM that the district has achieved the annual targets under PMEGP, JKREGP, Artisans /Weavers Credit Card and PM Weavers Mudra Scheme.
The DDC impressed to cover all eligible persons under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY. He also stressed to conduct financial awareness programmes in the district and ensure participation by banks.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, JD Planning, DDM NABARD and officers of line departments and District Coordinators of various banks.
