Jammu|Jan,7: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to start a Women’s League on the pattern of IPL beginning in 2023. The Women’s T20 League Player auction will be held sometimes in February, 2023. In order to facilitate the players (whether capped or uncapped) to seek to play in Women’s League 2023 season, BCCI has announced the procedure to be adopted by the players.
In a statement issued on Saturday Brigadier (Retd.) Anil Gupta the Member Administration, JKCA, has enunciated the procedure for local women players. “All registrations will be via an online WT20L Auction Registration System. All registration will be done through the JKCA only for the players belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The players desirous to register themselves will have to inform JKCA at the email address woment20league.jkca@e:mail.com by giving her name, DOB and Email ID”, specified Brig. Gupta.
Stating that once the player’s name is registered by JKCA the system will generate an email to the player with their log in details so that they can complete the registration process the Member Administration JKCA Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta said “Once registered, in order to express their interest in playing in the WT20L 2023, the player should login to the online registration system and thereafter will be required to complete all the fields on the WT20L Auction Registration System. The Member Administration JKCA in his statement also said that to assist the players with their registration the following documents are available for them to download once they have logged into the online registration system:
- WT20L 2023 Auction Registration – User Manual for Players.
- WT20L 2023 Player Auction T&C.
- WT20L 2023 Auction Guidance Note – This document contains instructions on how to complete the WT20L 2023 Auction Agreement on the online
Disclosing that final deadline for submitting online detail in WT20 for players as intimated by BCCI is 5.00 PM 1ST 26th January, 2023 Thursday, the Member Administration JKCA in his above referred statement said advised players to submit their details at the given email ID ofJKCA at the earliest but not later than 20th January, 2023.
“At this stage of the process, BCCI will only deal directly with the State Associations and at no time will have any communication with player agents or managers” reads the statement issued by Brigadier (Retd.) Anil Gupta the Member Administration JKCA, adding that “Any failure by a player to abide by this will (unless BCCI in its sole discretion decides otherwise) result in the player’s name being withdrawn with immediate effect from the WTZOL 2023 Auction Register and/or WTZOL 2023 Auction List (as appropriate). “Any uncapped player, who has retired from domestic cricket, can only submit her auction agreement for player registration after getting written approval from BCCI”, said Brig. Gupta in his above quoted statement.
