Vehicles challaned for violating rules at B’pora

Bandipora: To curb violation of traffic rules, ARTO Bandipora Bilal Ahamd along with a squad of concerned officials on Thursday conducted surprise inspection of vehicles on Bandipora Srinagar road.
ARTO said that Bike/ Scooty riders have been challaned for traffic violations including triple riding and not wearing helmets besides seized 02 Scotties.
ARTO said checking of vehicles was carried with special focus on installation of Speed limiting devices, overloading and checking of required documents.
He said around 75 vehicles were checked and Rs. 25500 were recovered from the offenders and documents of the number of vehicles were also seized.
He said 15 vehicles were also blacklisted for violation of rules and urged the public to follow the rules and regulations besides maintaining necessary documents of their vehicles.
