SDM finalizes arrangements for R-Day celebration at Kangan

Ganderbal: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather on Thursday convened a meeting of all stake holding departments at his officer chamber to finalize the arrangement for the celebration of Republic Day 2023 in the Sub-Division Kangan.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function, including preparation and consolidation of the venue ground, podium, security, seating, transportation, barricading, parking, electricity, refreshment, medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures.
SDM Kangan emphasized that all the necessary arrangements must be put in place to make the occasion a success.
The venue for the function has been fixed at Govt. Women ITI Kangan and department wise assignments were fixed accordingly and it was informed that the National Flag shall be unfurled at 10:00 AM sharp.
Before culminating the meeting, the chair reiterated that all the Covid-19 SOPs/ guidelines shall be adhered to while celebrating the event. Besides, Tehsildar Kangan/Gund shall also invite their Lumbardars and Chowkidars to attend the function. Further, TehsildarKangan was nominated as Nodal officer for the whole function.
