DEPO, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Nodal officer of the program said that the objective of the programme is to inculcate inner strength and personal peace, self direction to improve wellbeing of an individual.
Speaking on the occasion, he thanked the members of the foundation for organizing this program. He further said that such programmes are important to inculcate moral values in the youth of the District. It is the need of the hour that content about individual peace must be included in the curriculum courses, he added.
District Administration and the organizers of the program resonated the golden words of Prem Rawat that “Peace needs to be in everyone’s life. It is not the world that needs peace; it is people. When people in the world are at peace within themselves, the world too will be at peace.”
The organizers of the program stressed that, Rather than describing or defining personal peace, the program empowers individuals to reach their own understanding. The program has proven effective in a variety of settings including community centers, youth groups, schools, adult education programs, veterans’ groups, healthcare settings, senior centers, homeless shelters, drug rehabilitation facilities, and correctional facilities.
Further, District Administration appreciated the organisers of the programme to help people understand the merits of peace within life. He emphasised on the need to promote mutual peace and harmony.
