DC Jammu conducts extensive tour of Arnia, Inaugurates dry waste management shed at Kathar

Jammu : Deputy Commissioner Jammu, AvnyLavasaon Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Panchayat Allah and Kathar of border Block Arnia.
Tehsildar, Punica Sharma, BDO, Rajni Bala besides PRI members and other staff members were present on the occasion.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner convened a review meeting with the officers and PRI members and enquired about the status of different schemes and issues of locals.
During the tour, the Deputy Commissioner inaugurated a dry waste management shed constructed under SBM at PanchayatKathar. She also inspected the provision made for door to door garbage collection and visited AmritSarovars constructed in Panchayat Allah.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the local residents of Panchayat Allah and Kathar and listened to their demands which were mainly related to power and water supply, benefits under PMAY, issuance of new Ration Cards, road connectivity etc.
The Deputy Commissioner passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for early redressal of their genuine grievances. She assured that the highlighted issues of public importance will be taken up with higher authorities, besides all the pendency and public service delivery slackness shall be reviewed thoroughly.
She also impressed upon the officers to work with zeal to achieve the targets and ensure the delivery of the benefits to the rural masses.
